Vickie Sue DeLamater, age 73, of Nevins Lake, Stanton, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, with her family by her side.

The daughter of Forrest & Rachel (Miller) Bartlett, she was born on January 28, 1949 in Ionia County.  For the past 23 years, Vickie worked as a pharmacy technician at Countryside Pharmacy in Stanton.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and tending to her flowers, trips to the casino, and was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan.

On December 12, 1969, in Belding, she married Richard James “Dick” DeLamater, and together they raised four children and enjoyed almost 49 years of marriage until Dick passed away on June 27, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are a daughter, Shawn & Steve Spry of Greenville;  four sons, Doug & Jessica DeLamater, Rick DeLamater & Michael Applegate of Orlando, Florida, Robert “Bob” & Corie DeLamater of Stanton, and Tim & Michelle Bogue of Sidney; nine grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  a brother, Duane & Leanne Bartlett of Greenville;  several nieces and nephews;  and many special friends.

As Vickie delighted in gatherings of those she loved at her and Dick’s home at Nevins Lake, it’s only appropriate that her family invites relatives and friends to celebrate her life beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at her home.  As she wished, private committal services will be held at Sidney Township Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, Vickie would have appreciated contributions in her memory to The Big O Foundation, 190 Jane Drive, Stanton, MI 48888.
