Veronica Duron Moreno, born on April 29th, 1981 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Samuel Duron and Maria Elena Moreno. She was called by the Lord on April 6th at 4am while she was home in the company of her husband, children, mother, sister and sister-in- law.

Veronica was happily married to her high school sweetheart, Moises Lamas and had three wonderful children: Jasmin (18), Jocelin (15) and Manuel (13). She was a loving and dedicated stay at home mother. Veronica was a light that guided and taught those who surrounded her to be selfless. As a dedicated member of the parish community at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Veronica enjoyed investing time guiding and helping others. She led her children and husband to serve and her daughters currently play the violin as part of the choir.

Veronica’s beautiful memory will be honored on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, 215 Sheldon Blvd. S.E., Grand Rapids, with visitation and the praying of the Rosary from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, with the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.  Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery,  4100 Clyde Park Ave. S.W., Wyoming.

Veronica Duron Moreno, nacida el 29 de abril de 1981 en Aguascalientes, México de Samuel Duron y Maria Elena Moreno. El Señor la llamó el 6 de abril a las 4 de la mañana mientras estaba en casa en compañía de su esposo, sus hijos, su madre, su hermana y su cuñada.

Verónica estaba felizmente casada con su novio de la escuela secundaria, Moisés Lamas y tuvo tres hijos maravillosos: Jasmin (18), Jocelin (15) y Manuel (13). Ella era una ama de casa cariñosa y dedicada. Verónica fue una luz que guió y enseñó a quienes la rodeaban a ser desinteresados. Como miembro dedicado de la comunidad parroquial en la Catedral de San Andrés, Verónica disfrutó invertir tiempo guiando y ayudando a otros. Ella llevó a sus hijos y esposo a servir y sus hijas actualmente tocan el violín como parte del coro.

La hermosa memoria de Veronica será honrada el lunes 12 de abril de 2021 en la Catedral de St. Andrew, 215 Sheldon Blvd. S.E., Grand Rapids, con la visitación y el rezo del Rosario de 9 a 10 a.m. el lunes, con la Misa de entierro cristiano celebrada a las 10:00 a.m. del lunes. Seguirá el Rito de Compromiso en el Resurrection Cemetery, 4100 Clyde Park Ave. S.W., Wyoming.

    Deepest Condolences to the family of Veronica, I met her once and we talk almost all day like if we knew each other it was such a pleasure meeting her, such a strong soul sweet woman. Thank you Elena for introducing me to your sister. My prayers to you all 🙏

    Sending all of our love to Veronica’s family in Michigan and LA. Veronica had a contagious smile as a child that we recall fondly, a smile that never changed despite the circumstances. Her strength and faith in God will always be remembered. To Veronica’s family, you have a home with us in Pico Rivera, CA, we welcome you with open arms.

    May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace. Veronica fought until the end. Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our dearly departed Veronica. I will never forget her kindness the love she had for her children and her husband. May God give her eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.

    She was our neighbor and a good friend. Having her and her family be our neighbors was/is a huge blessing. She was so kind to me and my family. We will miss her and will think of her for a long, long time.
