Todd Hanson, 60, of Hudsonville, MI, passed away on September 16, 2022, after a battle with severe depression ending his life. Todd was born on February 1st, 1962, to Robert and Karen Hanson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After graduating from Mount Pleasant in 1980, he went on to study Accounting at Central Michigan University. In 1982 he married Deanna Barr, going on to have two children, Shaun and Scott.

Todd was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Shaun, Scott, and Deanna and always tried his best to support them.

Todd was also a passionate golfer and could often be found on the links with his dear friends.

Anyone who knew Todd knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hanson. He is survived by wife, Deanna; sons, Shaun and Scott; his mother, Karen Smith; and his brother, Jeff Hanson.

The family requests that all notes are sent to The Hanson Family home, 4451 Saddlehorn Dr. Hudsonville, MI 49426, and in lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or Matthew’s House Ministry.

There will be a Celebration of Life on October 5th, 2022, at Sunnybrook Country Club, 624 Port Sheldon St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
