Ruth Ann (Tribby) Dillard, age 75, of Big Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was born July 27, 1947, in Manassas, VA, to the late Robert Tribby and Alice Pearce. She married Purview James Dillard, together they celebrated 46 years of marriage.
Survivors include her son, Purview James Dillard Jr (Darell) of Big Rapids, MI; daughter, Cassandra Grace Dillard of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Victor Dillard (Ashley), Kaleb Dillard, and Dale Dillard; sister, Bonny Woodward; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Robert Tribby and Alice Pearce; and brother, Robert Tribby.
Per Ruth’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held with family and friends at a later date to be determined.
Ruth’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Altercare of Big Rapids and Spectrum Health Hospice for their care and compassion throughout this difficult time.

Ruth Ann (Nanny) had the sweetest soul and was always joyful. I will always remember her laugh, it was like sunshine.
She will be missed.
When I first moved to Fredericksburg the Dillard’s home was open to me as I knew no one. Mrs. Dillard was always kind and hard working. I never seen grandkids adore their grandmother as hers. My condolences to the family.
