Russell Harold Bush, age 49, of Lansing, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on Monday, May 11, 2020. He was born August 14, 1970, in Lansing, to David Bush and Shirley Bunce. Russ lived in Lansing his entire life and was a proud Quaker having graduated from Eastern High School in 1988. He loved to take things apart to see how they worked but did not necessarily put them back together.
Russell married Jennifer S. Such on August 22, 2007, in Grand Ledge. He earned his Associate’s degree and was working on a Networking degree all while starting his own computer repair business. Forever the family man, he will be greatly missed by his wife; mother, Shirley Lutz; sister, Lois Andrews; his five children, Joshua, Eric, Chelsea Whitmore, Zachariah and Abbigail; and grandchild, Skyler.
Russell was a humble man that would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He had a great sense of humor, was quick to laugh, and told some of the worst Dad Jokes. Music of any kind made him happy; he loved to dance (although not well) and sing. The world has lost a wonderful soul and heaven has gained the best of angels.
To honor Russell, please give to your local human society. He loved animals and was the best “Cat Dad.”

Dear Jennifer, I remember when you first met Russ and talking about him in my classroom. I remember how happy he made you and how you knew he was the one. I’m praying that you find the love and strength of family and friends to support you. Much love to you from Texas.
I will remember Russ as a very friendly, funny man who always wore a smile. I’m so sorry for your loss, Jennifer.
