Roger Sherman Wright, 65, of Fennville passed away on February 17, 2020 at St. Mary’s Mercy Health surrounded by his loving family.

Roger  was born on July 09, 1954 in Allegan Michigan to Forrest Leslie and Helen Florence (Kidwell) Wright. On June 15, 1985,  he married Gloria Jean Hoekwater in Las Vegas and they enjoyed 34 years of marriage, raising 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter – who were all the apple of his eye.

Roger was a 1972 graduate of Allegan High School and worked as a Tool & Die Maker retiring in July of 2019. He enjoyed reading, riding his Gold Wing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother in law, Betty & Doug Magill. Surviving are his wife, Gloria; daughters, Sandy & Dennis Hanson, and Cheryl Anakwa; grandchildren, Dustin & Rachel Hanson, Drew Hanson, Samantha Hanson, Keyana Anakwa, Amara Anakwa, and Kofi Anakwa; great-granddaughter, Aurora; brothers, Steve & Diana Wright, Bruce & Miriam Wright, Mitch & Diane Wright, and Phil & Barb Wright; siblings-in-law, Carol & Jerry Buteyn, Jim & Roberta Hoekwater, Donna & Augie Swanson, Bob & Peggy Hoekwater, Bev & Barry Powell, and Audrey & Dave Shelby; along with many nephew and nieces.
