Robert (Bob) Allen Ostrander, Sr., age 93; of Muskegon went to sleep in his home and woke up in the presence of his precious Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Born on April 29, 1927 in Grand Haven, MI. Bob Ostrander, Sr. being extremely patriotic served in WWII on the USS Lenawee as a Gunners Mate, in the Pacific Theatre. (Bob) was retired from the Muskegon Public Schools.

Survivors include the love of his life, Wiladene (Billie) Hope Siscoe; five sons and their wives, Robert Ostrander, Jr. (Jeannie), Jim Ostrander (Marcia), Ted Ostrander (Nella), Donnie Ostrander (Sonia), and David Ostrander (Alice); as well as 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A worship and remembrance service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Grace Assembly of God, 2956 E. Pontaluna Rd, Fruitport.  Social distancing and face masks appreciated. Service will also be streamed on Grace Assembly of  God Facebook page or  

Memorials may be made to Grace Assembly of God, Fruitport, MI and Hospice of Michigan. A special thank you to Hospice of Michigan for their care and a special loving thank-you to Sarah from Hospice.

    I remember Mr Ostrander so fondly! He was always there when you needed him. As I often went to school early or late due to band and other things he also helped me feel safe. He was a wonderful man. I’m so sorry for your loss

    Our deepest sympathies to the Ostrander family for the passing of Bob. He was a friend, a leader, a advisor and a strong union officer. I will miss him but enjoy our friendship for all time.
