Richard Clarence Lehman, age 97, of Fenwick, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Hathaway Hills Assisted Living in Greenville, with his daughter by his side.
The son of Clarence Henry & Harriett Elizabeth (Bogart) Lehman, he was born on April 24, 1922 in Bloomer Township. On March 28, 1942, at Metamora, Michigan, he married the love of his life, Marzella Wanda Wilson and together they enjoyed 73 years of marriage and raised three children.
Richard farmed all of his life, and had also worked at Harvey’s Milling Company in Carson City and at Star Cutter in Detroit in his younger years. Dick and Marzella were longtime members of the Vickeryville and Carson City United Methodist Churches. Richard loved his family and friends, farming, tractors, checkers, euchre, hunting and fishing, family trips and working in his shop. He liked to whittle and loved to winter in Florida with his wife. They spent many years at Imperial Bonita Estates.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marzella Lehman; a son, Gary Lehman; and a sister, Marie. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ed & Phyllis Lehman of Linden; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty & Jack Sorrell of Fenwick; a daughter-in-law, Eloyce Lehman of Fenwick; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
