Randy Carl GeBott, age 71, of Belmont, MI, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family after a year long battle with lung cancer. He was born December 28th, 1949, in Ludington, MI, to the late Bruce and Lorraine (Piper) GeBott.  Randy was preceded in death by brothers, Jeff and Brian.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.  Randy married the love of his life Lynne (James) GeBott on October 23, 1971, in Lisbon, OH.

Randy attended Ludington H.S. and excelled on the football team.  He was a skilled and intuitive carpenter.  There was nothing he could not repair or build.  Everyone knew he was a prolific morel mushroom hunter.  Randy loved to watch his grandchildren play sports all over the state.  He was an excellent chess and card player.  Whether it was spending time at the beach, hunting Petoskey stones, canoeing, fishing or hunting, he loved everything outdoors.

Survivors include his cherished wife of almost 50 years, Lynne; two children, Heather (Andrew) Arce and Jeff (Melaine) GeBott; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Abby, and Maddy GeBott and Drew and Haley Arce; great-grandchildren, Karma and Marleigh; brother, Tim GeBott; nephews, Ben and Joe GeBott; and niece, Cherale VanGilst.

The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice for its thoughtful service and compassionate care throughout this difficult time.

Per Randy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in Ludington, Michigan at a later date.

    You guys are in my prayers for healing and to find peace in the love you guy’s have as a family ! Randy GeBott… so clever, smart, funny , brave, crazy, loving, caring , full of it at times, strong , a blast to party with !!!🍻 He was always fun to be around but most of all he loved his family so very dearly ♥️❤️♥️A Man with a Heart Of Gold💛💛💛 There isn’t enough words to describe such a cool cat! I’m blessed to of had him in a little part of my life💚Randy GeBott you’ll be missed forever but never forgotten ✌️💙🤍💙
