Phillip Louis Vail, age 69, Grand Rapids, formerly of Constantine and Kalamazoo, died at home with loved ones by his side on Friday, February 28, 2020.  He was born January 25, 1951, in Three Rivers to the late Robert and Rose (Collinsworth) Vail.  Phil graduated from Constantine High School with the class of 1969 and went on to receive his Associate’s Degree from Glen Oaks Community College.

Phil proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.  He worked for 37 years in a variety of roles at Borgess Medical Center.  He did not concern himself with materialistic things, although he did enjoy his kites and candle holder collection, Phil’s number one passion was people.  He was an outgoing individual that could make friends anywhere and could talk to anyone.  These are just a few of the many reasons that he was loved by and will be greatly missed by his partner of 28 years, James Rewa.

Per Phil’s wishes cremation has taken place and private services were held.
