Pamela Ann-Mayer Retz, age 74, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was born November 15, 1947, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to the late Ross and Eleanora (Mayer) Yetzke.

Pam was an artist. She did fused glass (bowls and jewelry), painting, and photography. She had pieces of glass and photos placed in juried shows in Kalamazoo and St. Joseph. She had worked as a bartender and in various factories as an inspector. Pam was a friend to all; always giving her time and advice. Pam was an easygoing person and the life of every party. She had fun wherever she was. In 1984 Pam bought her Sportster just because it was red and matched her nails. Many a good time with the bikers.

She leaves behind her husband, Paul; sister, Dorcas; daughter, Carol; granddaughters, Jesse and Meghan; great-grandson, Ryan; nephews, Scott, Sean, and Shawn; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and many many friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother and father; father-in-law, Paul Retz Sr.; sister-in-law, Janice; niece, Debbie; and a lot of good friends and pets.

Worked with Pam at Modern Plastics for a good many years. Love her and think of her often. My bachelorette party consisted of a ride in her side car, with a stop at Babe’s. I’m so sorry that to hear she is gone. Hugs to all her family, that she loved so much.
