I always think of uncle Mike as my dad’s cool younger brother. In his 20s he drove a Coca Cola red pick up truck and would randomly show up at our house (across state) on weekends and holidays. At that time I thought he was Elvis and Fonzie rolled into one.

Uncle Mike….You have always been such an important person in my life from the time I was born through the day you left this earth. You were always there, willing to help and give anyone the shirt off your back. I remember you came home from Texas in 1992 to help with mine and Wayne’s wedding. My mom and dads home became your home for the next 29 years. You continued to be a huge part of our lives. Family dinners, Holiday’s and birthdays, you were there. I have so many fond memories. You always let us help paint your derby cars, you took Teressa and I and all of our friends to the drive in movies in your big red truck, you would sneak behind my mom and dads backs and eat whatever we didn’t want to on our dinner plates, you saved my behind many many times when I was young and stupid and the many batches of no-bake cookies I made for you and you happily ate even if they didn’t turn out. Life will never be the same without you in it. Thank you for the wonderful memories we made over the years. I will cherish them forever. The next batch of no-bake cookies will be made in your honor! Rest In Peace, free of pain, stress and worry. I love and miss you. 💕

I miss you so much I miss you calling us the wrong names until you got it right I miss you telling me stories before the bus got there when I moved back to allegan and took the bus and you would wake up at 5 am for me just so I could have a cup of coffee when I walked in your room I miss your laugh and your smile words can’t even tell how much I miss you papa I love you. Fly high ❤️🥺
