Matthew James Fox, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 21, 2020. He was born in Grand Rapids on August 11, 1992. Matthew didn’t live a long life, but he lived it to the fullest with friends and family.

He enjoyed being outdoors; whether he was fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or playing with his dog Oliver. Matthew also loved visits to the gym followed by bloody Mary’s with Mallorie on Sunday mornings. He was a hard working and successful salesman. Matthew was the upbeat personality that brought everyone together at work, home, and with friends. He was the smartest person in the room, even if he wasn’t speaking. Matt cared a lot about others and always wanted to help out. He was so goofy and had a great sense of humor that kept people laughing even if you didn’t understand him. His smile and personality was so big, it lit up a room.

Matthew will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Linda Pearson; stepfather, Carl Pearson; father and stepmother, Kim Fox & Deb Purdum; sisters, Laura, and Cailee; grandparents, Betty Stalker, and Fred & Kathy Parr; longtime girlfriend, Mallorie Herman; and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his mother’s house, 5580 Buthview Drive N.E., Comstock Park, 49321, on Saturday, June 27th from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, everyone is welcome!
