Martha Lane Frye, age 78, of Stanton, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  The daughter of Arthur & Artie McDaniel, she was born on February 26, 1943 in Middleport, Ohio.

On February 20, 1972, in Gallipolis, Ohio, she married William Kenneth Frye and together they enjoyed years of marriage until Bill passed away on February 14, 2012.

    I’m a nephew of Martha, she was one of my dad’s sisters, and I’d like to make a slight correction. Her father’s name was George Alexander McDaniel. In the memorial it shows the name, Arthur.

    I am Aunt Martha’s niece, She married my moms borther, Kenneth. Such a soft spoken, kind, nice lady…. always sent cards and notes to let others know they were not forgotten. She babysat me as a child, and I have fond memories of her up until I moved away from Ohio in the 90’s . I will always treasure my memories of her and her teaching me about God and encouraging me to do the right things… love you Aunt Martha….. Sammi ….. Samantha Higgins

    I am also a niece of Martha, she was a kind and loving Aunt. She used to call and send a card on most of my birthday’s. I will truly miss her. She was greatly loved by her family.

    I’m one of Aunt Martha’s nieces. Even though there were so many family members, she never forgot any of their birthdays or anniversaries. She was kind and caring and always concerned for others. She’s was strong and sweet at the same time. She was definitely one of a kind! I love her and will miss her! Rest in love and peace Aunt Martha! ❤️
