Linda Lee Buckley, age 82, of Pierson, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at her home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Mary Lois (Johnson) & Franklin Elsworth Neve, she was born on February 21, 1938 in Pierson.
On October 10, 1966, in Howard City, she married Charles Emery Buckley and together they raised four children and enjoyed 46 years of marriage. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda also enjoyed collecting solar lights for her flower beds, solar dancers, and wolf and Indian pictures. She enjoyed her time outdoors panning for gold, looking for unique rocks, looking for deer, fishing, and searching for mushrooms. Linda liked visiting the casinos, and spending time with friends and family. She spent time working puzzles while listing to Grand Old Opry music and she had a beautiful voice. Linda loved her many animals. She also was a member of the Eagles Club in Sand Lake.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Mary & Edwin Gage; her father and step-mother, Franklin & Lila Neve; her husband, Charles E. Buckley, on November 16, 2012; her former husband and the father of her three sons, Ken Bergman; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Helms.
Surviving are three sons, Ken & April Bergman of Sand Lake, Mark & Lisa Bergman of Sand Lake, and Scott & Marte Bergman of Sand Lake; a daughter, Maryanne & Timothy Newland of Pierson; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Tim & Nancy Neve of Trufant; two sisters Marilyn Gerald Helms of Ludington, and Jacquelyn Gage of Cedar Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
