Kenneth Jay Marsman, age 74, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Tena (Compaan) Marsman and his brother Louis Marsman and brother-in-law Dale Broene.

Carolyn Joye Marsman, age 77, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Marsman, parents Collins and Elizabeth (Bouwman) Oosterhouse and her sister Judith Faye.

They are survived by their three children Darryl and Tabi Marsman, Kevin and Kristina Marsman and Bethel and Jeffery Schut. As well as their many grandchildren and Kenneth’s sisters Dorothy Broene, Joyce and Pete Pols and Pam and Joe Deboer and sister in-law Faye.

Kenneth is best remembered for working the front window at the Eastbrook Mall Post Office, He also enjoyed spending his free time working on their house. Carolyn is best remembered for her many years as a teacher’s aide at Dutton Christian School and for her warm spirit and wonderful smile. They both loved spending time with their family and especially with the grandchildren.

A Memorial service for Kenneth and Carolyn will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 1:00pm with all guests welcome to arrive at 12:00 to spend time joyfully reflecting on Kenneth and Carolyn’s life with the family. Service will be held at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley Ave. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316. Services will be officiated by Rev. Merle Buwalda.
