Joe Ed Stackhouse, age 60, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Mission Point of Greenville.
He was born on June 10, 1959 in Mississippi.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Hey Family, you are all in my prayers. There are too many stories to tell and the memories that we all can share in our experiences with Joe Ed, are just as plentiful. My Brohta got up every morning with a song on his lips. I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that was the best of times for all of us.
Sing on my Brotha and rest in power…
To the Stackhouse family my condolences to you all. Like Gray said Joe would wake up neiborhood with a song and smile. Those were very fun memories and just happy times. Superior st. has loss another one of it’s own. Rest in peace my brother and just know you were love and will be miss.
Once again, I have to agree with Brotha Gray. Joe Ed Stackhouse was always singing and never met a nap he didn’t like. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and another Superior elder will be missed.
Joe Ed, was the Sanger that lit up Superior street with the notes of life and tunes of humor. I remember Joe Ed as being adventurous hanging out with him made you feel like you were going somewhere. We all are going where he went. My condolences to the family, be blessed and peace be with you!
