James Edward Harris, age 78, of West Olive, Michigan, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born November 13, 1944, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late James and Virgie (Robertson) Harris. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He married the love of his life, Rose Koleun on September 5, 1981, in Fennville, MI and celebrated 40 years of marriage together before Rose passed away on September 28, 2021. Jim was a master carpenter and built a Swiss Chalet that he and Rose lived in for many years.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Penelope Allen; brother, Hugh Harris; and grandson, Clint Glass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; brothers, Roy A. Harris and Danny Harris; and sisters, Willene Harris White and Deva A. Harris Murr.

Gathering of family and friends will be held, Saturday, August, 26, 2023, at 10:45 a.m. at New Life Nazarene Church, 2805 132nd Ave, Holland, MI 49424, with a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. and a luncheon to follow.
