Ila Bell (Hill) Wood, age 90, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, June 12, 2020. She was born September 18, 1929, in Fremont, Michigan to the late Dan and Lena Hill. Ila was known for her big heart and gentle spirit, her great smile, and the ability to always have a good time. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed knitting, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her four children: Linda (Doug) Graham, Jane (Gary) Carlson, Bill McNamara, and Terri (Don) Roe; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeanie Kelley.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Hazel Redder; and sisters, Doris Boyd and Lottie Mater.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, June 26, 2020, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., at Gleneagle Golf Club Commons, 6150 14th Ave. Hudsonville.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given for Spectrum Health Hospice.
Ila’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lemmen-Holton Cancer and Hematology and the nurses at Spectrum Health Hospice.

Remembering lots of fun and happy memories for all the years we golfed and ate together at Maple Hills. We always enjoyed your family. Ila and Gordy will remain in our hearts.
