Harold Duane Thornburg, age 82, of Greenville, passed away Saturday evening, May 20, 2023 at Corewell Health-Greenville Hospital.  The son of Harry & Cleo Eva (Hart) Thornburg, he was born on April 3, 1941 in Kalkaska.

Harold retired as an electrician from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company after 41 ½ years of service.  On September 27, 2002, in Stanton, he married Janice Eileen (Lee) Garcia and together they enjoyed over 20 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents;  six brothers and sisters, Betty Jo Thornburg, Roy Thornburg, Lola Hansen, Patricia Varney, Clarence Thornburg, and Charles Thornburg;  a grandson, Bradley Bowser;  a step-son, Paul Garcia;  and a step-grandson, Zach Morgan.

Surviving are his wife, Jan Thornburg of Greenville;  his children, Penny Porter of Greenville, Harold Thornburg of Greenville, Loyce & Carlos Thomas of Waynesville, Missouri, and Norma & Phil Moss of Newaygo;  his step-children, Alan & Pam Garcia of Milan, Pennie Morgan of Montrose, and Peggy & David Lee of Flushing;  twenty-two grandchildren; many great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.
