Frederick DeLong, age 69 of Newaygo, passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 peacefully at his home. He was born in Ypsilanti Michigan on June 13, 1951 the son of William and June (Orr)  DeLong. He was married to Berniece (Teunissen) DeLong. Frederick was a big fan of NASCAR and #24. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the cabin.  He was in concrete construction working along side his brothers most of his life.
He is survived by his wife Berniece (Teunissen) DeLong; daughters Teresa DeLong, Dawn (Kevin Beerman) DeLong, Lori (Josh) Lowery, April DeLong; grand children Ryan DeLong, Andrea (Chuck) Ferguson, Devin DeLong, Casey DeLong, Kayla Wamser, Carlee Wamser, Kevin Beerman, Isabel Beerman, Keon Beerman, Gavin Kerley, Landri Kerley, Savanna Dunkel, Zaiden Lowery, Kenli Lowery, Jase King; great grandchildren Zenleigh Timmer, Lynneah Timmer, Lilah DeLong, Oakley DeLong; brothers Rick (Mary) DeLong and Carl DeLong, and his sisters Cora (Roger) Vanderwal, Bernadine Thornton and Brenda (Eddie) Phillips. He is proceeded in death by his brothers William DeLong and Gary DeLong; sister Jerry DeLong and his parents William and June DeLong.
There will be a celebration of life at the cabin, service information to be announced at a later date.  His final resting place will be at Volney Cemetery in Bitely, Michigan.

    Love and miss you already Dad, but I know in my heart you are at peace 💗 I’m sorry for all your suffering and am very thankful its over. Thank you for raising us girls to be such strong women and for always doing your best, you were one of the hardest working people I’ve ever known and I am truly proud to call you my dad.     Loved him like a son,he will be missed,we spent many weekends together with the family Gene and I. They are together again in peace .love aunt What bless u and your family.
