Earl Horn Jr., age 78, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born October 21, 1944, in Warren, MI, to the late Earl and Josephine (Bradley) Horn. Earl graduated from Port Huron High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He went on to study Speech Pathology at Western Michigan University and received his Master’s Degree in 1978. He married Patricia (Goudy) Horn in 1971 and they enjoyed many happy years together.

Earl spent most of his career as a Speech Pathologist with the Kalamazoo Intermediate School District. After retirement, he owned and operated Horn Photography with his wife Pat. They enjoyed many years of travel and photography conventions, and took countless pictures of friends and family. He also enjoyed renovating houses with his wife at his side and spending time at the beach.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia; his niece, Rachel Dupuis, and her daughters, Elizabeth, Danielle, and Erin Grace. He will be missed by nephews Steven and Brian Goudy as well as their parents Linda and John Goudy. Earl will also be missed by friends Marvin, BJ, and Mary.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Margaret Prout and Mary Jo Samarco.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. A private memorial will be held at a later date with close family and friends.

Earl’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Centrica Care Hospice and especially the Rose Arbor staff for the help and compassion they have given throughout this time.
