Donna Kay (Rose) Tate, age 67, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, September 14, 2019.  She was born June 7, 1952, in Missouri, to the late Jerry and Wanda (Young) Rose.  Donna married Michael M. Tate at Fallasburg Park on October 4, 1986.  She retired from Foremost Insurance Company after 13 years and loved her coworkers there.

Donna was a long-time member of Resurrection Life Church where she loved volunteering in the nursery.  She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed taking them for walks.  Donna had a green thumb and was known for her gardening and elaborate flower shopping extravaganza every year.  She enjoyed driving across Michigan to different places with Mike and doing an annual color tour trip each fall.  Donna had a strong faith in God, she loved to listen to Christian music, and even through her illness she kept a strong faith and never lost site of Jesus.

Survivors include her husband of almost 33 years, Mike; daughter, Leigh Anne (Ty) Yow; son, Chris (Lindsey) Clay; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeremy, and Justin Yow; brothers, Mike (Linda) Rose and Chris Rose; sisters-in-law, Deidre Tate, Linda (Bill) Timmers, Jennifer (Jim) Burghdoff; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Resurrection Life Church, 5100 Ivanrest Avenue SW, Grandville, MI 49418.  A funeral service will be celebrated at the church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Merle Bremer officiating.  Burial will be at Grandville Cemetery.

Donna’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Spectrum Health Hospice, the Doctors at Metro Hospital, Dr. Stremmers, Pastors Pat and Tina Binish, and the Resurrection Life Church Family.  Also a heartfelt thank you to everyone that went to Donna’s home to visit and show support, whether it was with a smile, card, or anything else, your kindness meant so much to her and the family.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
