Donald Lee Prill Sr., age 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  He was born September 24, 1938, in Grand Rapids to the late Vernon and Louise (Reinhard) Prill.  Don worked as a machinist for Tannawitz Inc. for over 30 years until the company relocated out of the United States.  He then became employed by and finally retired from Lasar Allignment.

Don enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved to travel.  Alaska was one of his favorite trips he ever took.  Don grew up during the depression and learned how to fix things to help save the family money.  He enjoyed working on cars and televisions and took up woodworking which he loved very much.

Survivors include his two sons, Donald (Sandi) Prill Jr. and Daniel Prill; daughters, Cathy Poll and Karen (David) Wagner; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Prill; one sister; and one brother.

Per Don’s wishes cremation has taken place and he will be buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, MI.  No public services will be held at this time.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Spectrum Health Hospice team and the staff at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital for the care and compassion they have shown them and Don through this difficult time.
