Danyelle Dawn Borgert, 46, of Sturgis passed away on April 20, 2020 at home under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice.

The daughter of John Dale & Linda Diane (Kessie) Van Voorst, Danyelle was born on April 14, 1974 in Fort Wayne, IN.  On November 23, 2018, in Sevierville, TN, she married Keith Borgert. Surviving is her husband, Keith Borgert; her three sons, Michael, Cameron, and Ashton Estep, and her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Estep.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Beulah Kessie, her maternal grandfather Jack Kessie, her paternal grandmother, Avis VanVoorst, and her paternal grandfather Skyler VanVoorst.
Danyelle aspired for the spring time which she capitalized upon to tend her garden. Photography was a preferred pastime which manifested itself in many landscape and barn photos, framed and distributed to friends and family. Danyelle’s favorite place to be was at home on the farm, surrounded by her family and “grand-puppies.” She loved re-creating family recipes shared by her grandmothers and cooking for her family. Working in logistics, Danyelle made a name for herself by managing stressful situations and “getting the job done” – a skill which translated well to her role as a mother raising three boys. She loved her God, her children, and her husband, and wanted to be remembered as a strong and hospitable soul.
Danyelle requested that family come together when the current context permits it, via a hog roast to celebrate her life – telling stories and discussing how she touched the lives of those around her. Invites will be sent at a later date this year.
Instead of flowers, Danyelle would have appreciated contributions in her memory to The American Cancer Society to fund research.  To send a message of sympathy to the family, sign Danyelle’s online guest book, or to share a favorite memory, please visit: www.MichiganCremation.com
