Cynthia Ann Simpson, 41, of passed away on March 3, 2020 at home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice.

The daughter of Ed Patrick & Marie Lynn (Milks) Brown, she was born on November 15, 1978 in Traverse City. On November 14, 2015 in Kentwood, she married Lemuel L. Martell, who survives.

Cynthia will be remembered for her bright pink nails and her love of smoking cigarettes. She enjoyed swimming, her own ballerina style of dancing, and having summertime cookouts with her friends and family. Most of all, Cynthia loved her children and family. She was a dedicated grandma, and will be missed by all those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mom; and brother, Edward Milks. She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Martell; father; children, Brian Willey, and Haile Willey; step-son, Tyler Martell; grandsons, Zaydenn and another on the way; sisters, Melinda & Jim Walker, and Billie Roberts; best friend, Tracy Belbot; and many other loving friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
