Crusita (Alaniz) Sanford, age 77, of Holland, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, February 8, 2020.  She was born May 3, 1942, in Hidalgo, Texas to Cipriano and Petra (Cantu) Alaniz.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Crusita loved to grow roses, gardening,and most of all visiting her family.

Survivors include her three children, Edward (Martha) Castillo, Teresa (Michael) Urivez, and Lisa (Jaime) Cirilo; grandchildren, Zachary Castillo, Sarah (Alessio) Castillo, Antonio (Athena)Gonzalez, Laticia Gonzalez, Alec (Alexa) Urivez, and Andrew Urivez; great-grandchildren,  Elijah Gonzalez, Cilicia Gonzalez, Aleyla Jade, Ezekiel Gonzalez, Odessa Gonzalez, Trinity Gonzalez, Seraiah Pena, Josiah Alfaro, Jenavecia Alfaro, Armani Alfaro, Isabella Urivez, and Coralynn Urivez; siblings, Rosendo (Eva) Alaniz, Ricardo (Josie) Alaniz, and Mary (Rick) Gauthier; and great friend, Rosalyn Arnst.

Crusita was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Roberto, Lionel, and Lupe Alaniz.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Engedi Church, 710 Chicago Dr. Holland, MI 48423, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. EST with a dinner to follow.
