Corey Beals, 33, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2023. Corey was born on January 16, 1990, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Sandra Morris and Roger Beals and attended Rockford High School.
Corey was a kind and loving person who had recently been attending church regularly and was working to improve his life. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his brother Daniel Morris, his sister Tina Beals, his grandmother Donna Morris, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
A memorial service will be held at Rockford Baptist Church, 221 Courtland St, Rockford, MI 49341, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with a musical prelude starting at 10:50 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mel Trotter Ministries, 225 Commerce Ave. SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, or through their website at https://www.meltrotter.org/.

I met Corey a few years ago when he was living with my sister, we became friends and I will miss him. He just recently reached out to me a few weeks back wanting to hang out, I wish I could go back to that day and tell him yes I’ll take off work
