Charles Stuart Olds Jr., age 79, of Hastings, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

 

He was born on October 22, 1940, in Grand Rapids.

 

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Mona (Haan) Olds; sister, Bonnie (Olds) Van Loo.

 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patterson) Olds; son, Timothy (Elaine) Olds; stepsons, Randy (Cheryl) Meinke and Donald Meinke; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jerry, Connie, Rick, Don and Barb; in-laws, Russ (Gaye), Bernie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

After graduation from high school, Chuck served his country in the U.S. Navy.  After his time in the military, Chuck worked at Steelcase for over 35 years before retirement.

 

Funeral services will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, at 11:00 am on June 14, 2021.  Friends and family will gather at Fort Custer Recreational Area, Whitford Pavilion immediately following services.
