Beverly Kay Rose, age 63, of Greenville, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 4, 2022 from Bronson Battle Creek Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan.  The daughter of Howard Menno & Phyllis Kathleen (Steiner) Ressler, she was born on February 15, 1958 in Orrville, Ohio.

On September 22, 1984, in Wooster, Ohio, she married Samuel Lloyd Rose, and together they operated a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, raised two daughters, and enjoyed 16 years of marriage until Sam passed away at the age of 47 on January 23, 2001.

A devoted wife and mother, Bev helped run the farm as well as home schooling their daughters.  Bev’s faith was very important to her and she died with the assurance of her salvation by the merits of the blood of Jesus Christ.  She took pleasure in crocheting, sewing, gardening, was an avid reader, and enjoyed staying up to date with current events and politics.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville for many years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Ressler;  her husband, Samuel L. Rose;  and her parents-in-law, Dempsey & Ruth Rose.

Surviving are her father, Howard Ressler of Wooster, Ohio;  two daughters, Trisha Rose of Greenville, Michigan, and Stephanie & Zachary Chapman, of Sahuarita, Arizona;  two brothers and two sisters, Bruce & Amy Ressler of Creston, Ohio, Paula & Tom Wenger of Belding, Michigan, Jon & Judy Ressler of Wooster, Ohio, and Bonnie Deusenberry of Dalton, Ohio;  siblings-in-law, Kathy Rose of Jacksonville, Florida, and John & Lori Rose of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2021 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, Michigan, and from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Road N.E., Greenville, Michigan, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  The Rev. R. Mark Shaw, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Bedford County Memorial Park in Pennsylvania.

Among other remembrances I have of Bev, the one that speaks to me the most is her spoken faith in Jesus as her Savior and Lord, and her belief that Jesus raised from his death on the cross on the third day. She let her faith in God known in and through her trials and bright moments as well- to the end. She took her stand on ground of faith and she stuck to the end. Only a part of her reward is now being experienced-she meets face to face her Savior, and her husband, her mother and others who were waiting for her (lest I forget her grandma Ressler). What a day that will be for all who knew and share the same faith for The Reunion!

Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss, Trisha. I’m praying especially for you and Stephanie (and the rest of the family and friends who love her so much) I truly wish I’d been able to see her more in the last couple years. She was a good friend. Love you, Trish, and always praying for Gods best for you.🙏🤗🤗🤗😘

My sympathies to Trisha, Stephanie and all of Bev’s family and friends. I have many fond memories of growing up with a great group of cousins, aunts/uncles and grandparents.
