Angie Marie (Dyer) Garza

Age 56 – Holt, Michigan

Angie passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 8, 2023, at the age of 56. Angie was born on October 17, 1966, in Lansing, Michigan to Steven and Vickie (Mosher) Dyer. She grew up in Holt and graduated from Holt High School in 1984. Angie received a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Cornerstone University.

Angie was a hard worker, she entered the workforce at a young age and worked for Warehouse Records as an associate and an Assistant Manager. Angie began working for Ingham County at WIC on January 5, 2000. She was promoted to Communicable Disease Investigator on October 8, 2021. Angie retired from Ingham County on March 17, 2023. Angie was always the life of the party; she commanded any room she entered and made everyone smile with her bigger than life personality. She loved old time rock, the Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bob Segar, and Led Zeppelin just to name a few.

Angie is survived by her daughter and love of her life, Victoria (LuLu) Garza; her life partner, Herbey Garza; step-sons, Poppy Garza and Benjamin (Jammer) Garza; grandmas, Virginia Currey and Pauline Flores; parents, Steven and Vickie (Mosher) Dyer; -in-laws, Herbey and Janie Garza and Maria (Mary) Moncada; siblings, Andy (Teresa) Dyer and Stevie (Jessi) Dyer; aunt, Nancy Flores; along with several other wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who are all going to miss the hell out of her.

A private family celebration of Angie’s life will be held at a later date.

    It’s very hard to grasp the fact that you are gone. As I see so many folks acknowledge, you were always the life of the party. Loved music and so full of life. I remember that, even as kids, it was sure hard to even attempt to keep up with you. My heart goes out to your family and friends as your loss creates a hole that can never be filled. You will be missed greatly!
