VAN STEE, WILLIAM “BILL” William Van Stee (Bill), 71 of Lowell passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was retired from General Motor’s. Bill was an avid outdoor’s man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He also loved watching the Red Wings.He was all ready to go North to the trailer and go fishing with fishing partner Jay, sometimes he even took his wife! He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed watching the grand children play football, baseball and gymnastics.He is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Kyle (Ben) Newton, Son’s Judson (Lora) Van Stee, Mike (Barb) Curtiss, Steve (Chris) Curtiss and Craig (Sherrie) Curtiss.He leaves behind 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother’s Jerry Van Stee, Pete (Lynn) Van Stee, Butch (Peg) Van Stee, and sister Joan (Tom) Burger, brother’s – in- law, Clifford (Barb) Nicholson, Jay Nicolson, Ken Groendal, Duke (Ruthanne) Maniteau, Van (Maureen) Nicholson, Gary (Jeanie) Nicholson, sister -in- law Mary (Stan) Burgess. A host of nieces and nephews. All of the nieces were his favorite. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 10 am, May 31, 2014 at Calvary Grace Brethren Church, 13700 84th St. S.E., Alto, MI 49302. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
