Wayne D. Bare, “Bare” age 73, of Portage, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 surrounded by family at home. He was born on November 05, 1941 in Sturgis to Jacob & Mildred (Lash) Bare. He retired from Aero- Motive Mfg. after 34 years as a warehouse attendant. An avid NASCAR fan, Jimmie Johnson was his favorite driver. Bare was also very proud of his yard, he worked many hours making sure that their lawn and garden was perfect. Pat and Bare would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 21st. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his loving wife, Patty; daughter, Melissa Bare; two sisters, Patty Waterbury of S.C., and Marie Collins of N.M.; two grandchildren, Sophia, and Donte; and two sister- in-laws, Dianne (Bill) Kiewiet, and Gail (Dave) Bratt, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bronson Athletic Club, 6789 Elm Valley Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 at 1:00pm in Conference Room 2. A luncheon will follow this service.
