Victor Paul Foster, age 63, of Greenville, passed away Monday morning, October 8, 2018 at his home under the loving care of his wife and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Paul Eugene & Beatrice Elaine (Getts) Foster, he was born on May 25, 1955 in Grand Rapids. Victor proudly served with the 1073rd Maintenance Company in the Michigan National Guard and worked at the former Electrolux Home Products until the plant closed in 2006.
On August 16, 1996, in Stanton, he married Deborah Joan Wilson and together they enjoyed 22 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Foster on May 21, 1965.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Foster of Greenville; his mother, Beatrice Osborne; two children, Paul Foster and Kasey Waldron; three step-children, Kelly & Jeff MacDonald, Wendy Roberts, and Paul & Sherri Roberts II; three sisters, Paula Aper, Bonnie & Virgil Hopkins, and Kathy & Bruce Burr; two brothers, David Foster and Al Foster; his father-in-law, Larry Wilson & Paula Brancheau; seventeen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where military honors, jointly rendered by the Michigan National Guard and the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place privately.
Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home. When I think of Vic, I think first of all of his sparkling blue eyes and the love in them he had when speaking of you.-á He always had a ready smile.-á He certainly was a caring and loving man.-á He will be missed.
