To my beautiful sister Valerie Long,
You were not only my sister but also one of my dearest and longest friendships that I ever had. You were there for me when I moved here allowing my 5 kids and myself into your home until we were able to get our own place. You were Jay’s and my biggest cheerleader, always saying that we belonged together since we first met when you were 14, and throughout the years reminding us how blessed we are to have each other. You were the best possible Aunt anyone could ever have asked for, for their kids. You welcomed them into your family with open arms and you adored them, and they adored you. You were so fun to watch with your kids, your nieces and nephews, and especially with your brother. Your eyes always shined bright around them and you always brought a smile to each others faces. You had so many troubled days and I am so sorry that I wasn’t there for you all the times that you needed someone. I know you are no longer in pain and no longer sad. I will however miss you always. Thank you for loving me. R.I.P. You will always live on in our memories and hearts

I am Cassie’s Biological Father. Although time has brought us a part, and we had struggles in between; There’s always been a place in my heart for Valerie; For no one could have seen. She’s the mother of my one & only, baby girl; Who has grown to be such a lovely, young lady. Strong willed and determined. Nothing of being too shady. I’m glad we were able to settle our differences, and put them behind us. And thankful for her caring, unselfish heart for giving me the opportunity, to meet my daughter.
Valerie was a fun, adventurous, person. She loved to laugh. I’ll never forget the day I met her. So many years ago. I thought she was the prettiest girl out of the four walking together down South Division. I was driving with a friend who turned out to be her 2nd or 3rd cousin. I remember the good times, and forget the bad. We never know just how much time we have to share with people we care about. Feuds are not worth the time. Thanks for your forgiveness and generosity. May the LORD forgive her, whatever sins she had, and let her go home to be with him, in Heaven.
May the Lord be with Cassie, strengthen her heart through this hard time, be there with her family. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

Valerie, was one of the most loving and most friendliest person, anyone could ever know. She’d help you out whenever you needed it. She was not only a good friend- but a good mother. It sadness the family with the loss, of such a wonderful person. But- the chain will all link together once again. She’s now in The Lords arms, she’ll be missed. Not only from family, but, from friends as well.

Val, it is such sad news, you went to be with the lord so young. I know we didnt talk alot after you moved from Wedgewood Dr, here in Wyoming, but i thought, and spoke of you often, wondering how you and your family were, and have been. Im praying god grants your family that you so sadly, but uncontrolably left behind. Im praying he grants them the strength, piece, and guidance, and anything they may need while grieving. I will never understand why god chooses people to come home so young, but the saying is…. Everyone is put here with a purpose, then god calls us home. In my heart i know you did more then serve your purpose. “Lived Fast, Died Young.” thats what my Dad always said. So So Sad that in many cases its true =( REST IN HEAVEN VAL. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

Valerie was my childhood friend when we were teenagers. She lived right down the street from me on Maplelawn. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met! We had so much fun together! I remember when she started driving and we were in her moms blazer… She almost smacked into a parked car, then got so upset she pulled over and I had to talk her into driving home cause she wanted to walk lol!! It’s so sad when lives like hers end too soon without rhyme or reason:( my thoughts and prayers go out to Cassie and David and the rest of her family!! May you rest in peace Valerie.
