Timothy Elmer Lovett, age 60, of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 with his loving family by his side. The son of Elmer & Carrie (Wing) Lovett, he was born on April 4, 1957 in Grand Rapids. During a fearless 3 year battle with stage 4 cancer, Tim was determined and strong. He never complained and always continued to put others first. He leaves behind friends and family that will forever be impacted by having him in their lives and will miss him dearly.

Tim enjoyed fishing and spending his weekends camping. He liked to be out and about or watching a good NASCAR race or football game. In his younger years, along with his dad and brother, he used to race cars and demolition derby’s. In his last difficult weeks at home the giggles and smiles of his 4 and 7 month old grandsons always brought him comfort, and he filled his home with pictures and projects that his grand-daughters would make for him.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Carrie (Wing) Lovett, and brothers Sam and Lee. Tim is survived by his devoted wife and best friend Jennifer, children Kristie (Lovett) Brigham, Patricia (Tahun) Mays, Alesia (Gino) VanZant, Danny (Makenzie) VanZant, four grandchildren (Natalie, Brooke, Cameron, Alekai), sister Karen Lovett, sister-in-law Judy Lovett, and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
