I am so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. When I got the news. A flood of memories came to me. I hadn’t seen him in years, but I remember he took me to my first Prom. I guess it can be said he was my first boyfriend. I was younger and couldn’t go unless I brought my grades up, so Tom used his Honor Society pass to meet me and help me with my studies. It was more than just meeting in the library to get out of class, he really encouraged me and it was a team effort to get me ungrounded by my parents. He made me feel confident and supported. I think that speaks volumes about a person’s character. For a time, our families belonged to the same church and we shared transporting kids to camp, but never had much contact other than that, I am sorry to say. I would have thanked him for being a part of a crucial part of my life. I wish to tell his family how sorry for the loss of your Tom. I am sure I am not the only friend who has lost a piece of themselves with this news.

Hazel, Jake, Taylor & Family: so sorry to hear about Tom. He was always my brother-in-law & very good friend. I always counted on him for a listening ear & one of my very good counselors! When he lived in Midland, he always opened his home up for visits for myself & anyone I would bring by just to chat! As a member of the Elks, he was very instrumental in guiding the club to allow 4 dances/year for the special needs people of Midland. God Bless your family during this time!

Cindy, Hazel, and Tom’s Boys and Grandchildren: We are without words. It is so hard to hear this news. Tom has been a part of Bill’s life from an early age, and Bill talked about Tom and the sports they were in together a lot while in high school. We wish him peace in his new life with God. I know he will have a special angel that will watch over him and help bring him peace. Love, Bill and Vicki

I am so sorry to hear about Tom. In High School he was always quiet and so SO nice to me. Smart as a whip so it’s no surprise that he rose up through the ranks to be CEO.
For whatever reason that now was the time for him to go, we will miss him at our 45th Class Reunion in a couple of months. Several of us have tried to reach him via Facebook, and were looking forward to seeing him at the Reunion.
I am happy and greatful to have known him in my life.
    Sincerely, Candi
