Thomas A. Bellows, age 80, of Lakeview, passed away Sunday evening, July 23, 2017 at home under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring & Hospice.  The son of  Thomas C. & Thelma A. (Wood) Bellows, he was born on October 15, 1936 in Edmore. 

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Thomas served our country and protected our freedoms.  Following his discharge he worked for 31 years at the former Hitachi Magnetics plant in Edmore.  On May 20, 1967, in Six Lakes, he married the former Connie Jean Hancock and together they enjoyed 50 years of marriage.    

Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles, and was a member of the Michigan Road Riders and Harley Motor Hogs.  He also liked riding ATV's, wintering in Arizona, and spending time with family, friends, and his German Shepherd, Helga.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Surviving are his wife, Connie J. Bellows of Lakeview;  their children, Rhonda & James Blair of Jackson, Sondra & Don Greenfield of Commerce, Colorado, Robin & Tim Everts of Crystal, Raelynn & Doug Gross of Eagle, Thomas B. Bellows of Mesa, Arizona, Diana & Mike Robinson of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Tayna Hutchinson of Farmington, New Mexico.  Thomas is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

Committal services, with military honors rendered by the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 and the U.S. Marine Corps, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Six Lakes.  Immediately following the military tribute, relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Tom's life at the Belvidere Community Center, 207 Clark Street, Six Lakes, to share in a time of food and fellowship.
