Theodore Austin Gustin, age 82, of Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming,

The son of Dewitt & Nellie Columbia (Sharpe) Gustin, he was born on August 29, 1929 in Wyoming and was a proudly served our Nation in three branches of the military… the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Navy (from which he retired). He also had worked as field engineer for the City of Harlington, Texas.

On September 26, 1997, in Allegan, he married his best friend of over 40 years, Shirley (Allen) Powers. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2011. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Gustin on November 4, 2005. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lindalee & Luther Landon of Wyoming.

Committal services, with full military honors rendered by the U.S. Navy, will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, and will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, honored provider of Veterans Funeral Care.
