Teresa Coleen Deacons, 45, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 11, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends after a three month battle with brain cancer. The daughter of Buddy & Shirley (Dryer) Deacons, she was born October 21, 1965 in Superior Township, Michigan.

Teresa enjoyed collecting hats, which lovingly led to the nickname Hat Lady. She also found comfort in her animals Baby Bear, Boozer, Fat Cat Jack, and Junior. She delighted in spending time with families and friends–often centered around parties and bonfires.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Dryer; a sister, Shella Ann Deacons (who passed away at age 5); and grandparents, Edwin & Emalwe Deacons.

Surviving are her significant other, Jeff Robinson; parents, Buddy & Linda Deacons; three sons, Steven Deacons, David Pope, and Ross McInerney, granddaughter, Alexis Calvert; siblings, Charlene Deacons, Terri Deacons, Janet Grudenich, Cindy Deacons, Jamie Deacons, Christina Walters, Buddy Deacons Jr., Erick Deacons, Bryan Kline, Shawn Kline, and Aron Kline; many nephews and nieces; a special friend, Shelby Brooms, and many other dear friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bible Wesleyan Church, 8061 Castle Road, Sheridan. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Teresa can be made to Jeff Robinson, 9450 Castle Road, Sheridan, Michigan 48884.
