Susan L. Leabu, age 59, of Mattawan, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016.
The daughter of Virgil & Wanda (Belesky) Leabu, she was born on November 30, 1956 in Dearborn.
Honoring her wishes cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand rapids.

I only knew Sue virtually through years of participation on the Plum Line Blog.
Still she effected me deeply!
Political blogs can devolve into flame throwing and name calling. It was Sue who kept us above that fray.
When I think of Sue I think of Michelle Obama’s great sppech. When any of us took the low road Sue would take the high road. She could defuse boorish behavior with her incredible wit and smart rejoinders.
She is an example that I shall take with me through the remainder of my life.
I envy those of you who knew her so much more intimately than me.
I can only express my most sincere condolences to her family and friends.
