Stephen Alfred Savageau, age 73, of Ada, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Battle Creek Medical Center. The son of Alfred & Phyllis (Mathes) Savageau, he was born on May 1, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Stephen was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War era.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Susan Savageau; and daughter, Emily Savageau.
A celebration of life open house at the Savageau residence will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan, 260 Jefferson Ave S.E. #210, Grand Rapids, 49503.

Sue, Please know your dog park family is here for you any time you want to walk and feel centered (we know how the park does that). I am so very sorry for your loss and honored that I knew Steve.
Linda and I remember Steve from our time together at Les Amis du Vin events. He will always be remembered for his engaging smile and enthusiasm for life.

Sue, I was saddened to read of Steve’s passing. I have fond memories of chatting with you and/or Steve would walk your dog past the yellow Hampshire gate where we lived. Coincidentally, I’ve had Parkinson’s for the past 11 years. Best wishes with your difficult adjustment
