Stefanie April Smith, 39, passed away Monday, May 20th, 2019 at home under the care the Spectrum Health Hospice, with her family at her side.
The daughter of Mary & Anthony Wydeck, she was born September 14, 1979 in Houston, Texas.
Stefanie will be remembered for her tremendous heart and the care she took of those she loved. She was known as the ‘neighborhood mom’ for anyone who needed her. Stefanie had a wicked sense of humor that will be missed by many.
Surviving are children, Marissa Smith, and Mark Houtman II; granddaughter, Claire Smith; parents; sister Melissa Vredevoogd; brothers, Tony Wydeck, and Herb Wydeck & Marla Kreps; best friends, Jannuary Paine, Melanie Iler, and Stacy Schuel; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 2 – 5 P.M. on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at Raceway Park, White Cloud.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks everyone to bring a dish to pass for the potluck honoring Stefanie.

Stefanie. You came into my life at a time I needed you desperately. You made me grow up and become a better person for knowing you. After all we have gone thru you were still my best friend, my sister, a part of my family forever. You were such a bright light in this dark world and it was an honor to have you in my life. I love and miss you Stefanie. Till we meet again.
Stephanie was such a loving and caring person, she will be missed by many!
