Stacey Edmund Eldred, age 52, of Greenville, formerly of the Blanchard area, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland after battling Huntington's Disease.  The son of Leonard & Ella Lavina (Esch) Eldred, he was born on August 24, 1964 in Lakeview and had worked as a carpenter in the construction trades.

Stacey was a kind and loving person with many friends.  He loved woodworking and building bird houses.  His niece, Megan Freeman, contributed the nesting material as she donated her purple feathered boa for the birds to make nest with and they did.  Stacey probably had the only purple nest in the area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Eldred, and his mother, Ella "Peg" Chiles; a step-brother, Brian Tipton; a nephew, "Baby" Lance Eldred, and a cousin, Amy Brook Houghton.  Survivors include his children, Milan Eldred, Nicholas Eldred, and Taylor Eldred;  two sisters, Shawn Lear-Price, and Nicole “Niki” & Rona Eldred;  three brothers, Robert "Bob" Eldred, Lenny Eldred, and Steve Winnie; and many step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Stacey's life from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the pavilion at Millpond Park in Blanchard.   Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the CHDI Foundation (Cure Huntington's Disease Initiative).

To send a message of sympathy to the family, sign Stacey's online guest book, or to share a favorite memory, please visit:  Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, is entrusted with the arrangements.
