Sheryl Sue Ruoss, age 68, of Gowen, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at her home. The daughter of Cornelius "Casey" & Mary Jean (DeHamer) DeGraaf, Jr., she was born on December 1, 1950 in Grand Rapids.
Sheryl retired from Bosch Corporation (formerly General Motors), enjoyed shopping, was a member of the Flat River Antique Car Club, but delighted in time spent with her family… especially attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Ruoss in 2008; and a sister, Kim Minnaar. Surviving are her children, Robert & Alissa Hirkaway of Sheridan, and Kim & Aaron Conklin of Gowen; seven grandchildren, Gabby, Lucas, Rebecca, Emily, Hailey, Jeremiah, and Wyatt; special friend, Don Rush of Gowen; a brother, Ken DeGraaf of Florida; a brother-in-law, Glenn Minnaar; a niece, Katie & Jacob Brasser; a nephew, Jack Minnaar; and many dear friends.
Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rev. Paul Dickson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Greenville, will officiate.
