Shawn Thomas Johnson, age 27, of Kentwood, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.  The son of Thomas Ross & Carol Jean (Linderman) Johnson, he was born on June 29, 1988 in Grand Rapids and had attended East Kentwood High School. 

Shawn worked as a carpenter in the construction trade and enjoyed 70’s music and playing guitar. He had a warm heart and loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony & Ruth Johnson, and Mary Linderman. Surviving are his parents, Tom & Carol Johnson of Kentwood;  brothers and sisters, Brett (Jen) Johnson, Brian (Rebecca) Johnson, Denise Johnson, Jennifer (Scott) Schuette, David (Tiff) Jones, and Lisa (Dusty) Day. He was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
