Sandra D. Canen, age 65 of Wyoming, MI, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
She was born on August 21, 1953 in Grand Rapids, to the late Robert and Charlotte(Pleger) Lovewell.
Sandi was a devoted provider for her family. She worked many years for Canteen Food Service later retiring from Steelcase in 2001 along with her late husband of 33 years Rick. In her spare time, she enjoyed preparing taxes at H & R Block.
Sandi was married to Richard A. Canen Jr. on July 31 ,1971. He preceded her in death in 2004.
During their few retirement years spent together, they enjoyed traveling, weeks at the lake and great times with their grandchildren.
When their time was cut short by Rick’s passing, Sandi continued her enjoyment of life filling her children and grandchildren full of love and laughter. Her humorous ways brought joy to many.
She always will be remembered for her generosity, intelligence, quick wit, strong will, love and dedication to her family.
She enjoyed scrap booking her fondest memories, comedy, trivia, researching genealogy and her family tree, crocheting, playing and listening to her loud music, especially the Beatles. She also loved Michael Martin Murphy in the early years as she even named her 2 cats Mike and Murph.
She loved puzzles and a good challenge.
She will be lovingly remember by her children, Ami(Shawn) Gerke and Wendy(Jason) Hudson; grandchildren, Meghan(fiancé Blake), Brianna, Alexa and Emily; sisters, Vicki Lovewell and Charlene Lovewell; brother, Robert (Tammy) Lovewell.
A celebration of Sandi’s life will take place on Friday, January 18, at 3pm, at Clyde Park Church of the Nazarene, 2545 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
