Sandi Jo (Truss) Gemmen, age 52, of Comstock Park, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 from an extended illness.
The daughter of Jack & Kitty (Griffes) Truss, she was born on May 1, 1965 in Grand Rapids and was a 1983 graduate of Comstock Park High School.
Sandi was preceded in death by her father; and grandparents. She leaves behind her mother; sisters, Jeanette (David) Wierenga, Lisa (Eric) Peterson, and Michelle (Stacy) Montgomery; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Alpine Baptist Church, 692 7 Mile Road N.W. (off of Alpine Avenue), Comstock Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alpine Baptist Church or to the American Diabetes Association of Grand Rapids.

Sandi you were a very dear friend. I treasure every memory. I know heaven is soaring to have received such a beautiful angel as you. Love you and miss you.
