The son of James & Vera (Jenkins) Cortright, he was born on February 2, 1930 in Lansing.

Roe was a Korean War veteran, a longtime member and former commander of the Dewitt VFW post #671 and also a member of the Bath American Legion post #412. He always had a smile and made friends very easily. We will all miss his wonderful sense of humor, loving heart and his ability to get through hard times quickly and with grace.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to his family to help cover his final expenses. Anything received over his costs will be donated (per his wishes) to the Veterans Home in Eaton Rapids. Or if you wish, donations may be made directly to the Veterans Home, the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation or to the VFW post #671.

The family wish to thank everyone for their kindness and support.
