Robin E. "Rob" Barr, age 71, of Muskegon, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Roy & Ruth (Stevens) Barr, he was born on July 9, 1944 in Grand Rapids and worked as a welder and fabricator at Rail Components, a custom staircase and railing manufacturer in Muskegon.
Rob was proud of his 2006 Mustang GT and was a member of the West Michigan Mustang Club. He also enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Barr. Surviving are his children, Cary Barr of Muskegon Heights, and Michelle & Jody Genther of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Kyle Barr, Jacob Barr, Alyssa Genther, and Trevor Genther; a great grandson, Wesley; two sisters, Kris Hutson of Grand Rapids, and Deborah & Bill Kanouse of Rockford; and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation is from 6-7 p.m. on Friday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Father Michael Cilibraise, pastor of the Catholic Community of St. Charles and St. Joseph-St. Mary, will officiate.

Rob was a great co-worker who took pride in his work and did his best.Rob helped me through a difficult stretch when I needed it. He was always Happy and always was joking around. He was very proud of his mustang and showing it at car shows. I will miss you my FRIEND!
